Child Size Swing Top

Published August 13, 2017 by Jayashiangel

I came across these really cute and quick swing tops. These tops go from start to finish very quickly in less then one day. They would be perfect to use when you have a skirt/shorts or even pant that no top just matches right….plus the amount of yarn was wild less then one full skein 6 oz.. I plan to make another with those new cute Cake style skeins..The pattern on Ravelry is free however you can join them free and have access to lots of free and paid for pattern. This pattern comes in sizes child 3-7 years and teenager.. However I am assuming following the pattern concept you could making it larger for an adult…

I decided to change the pattern just a little as I was surfing the net and found a different style strap done on a similar one and thought this strap option was quicker as well as a better option for kids as I didn’t want the button/strap to pull to much on the top…

This top I whipped up should fit a child size 5/6 I added an extra row of DC before starting the shell row…

Puffy Stitch Shawl

Published August 13, 2017 by Jayashiangel

I joined a group on Ravelry that does Crochet along /Knit along projects each month and I have joined the Cal this month and this project was what I made the rules for the Cal where to do a project using Red heart Yarn/Use any pattern I wanted to learn a new stitch…Perfect right ? Wrong after looking at a million patterns I couldn’t decided however I wanted to learn the Puffy stitch but not to do like 500 of the them in a single project well I came across this quick cowl pattern that I turned into a shawl that used this stitch and it was just perfect for this project….As you can see I had a few ends to weave in before it was finished…

This is a close up of the shawl so you can see the puffy stitch that was only done down the middle spine of the shawl.

I have been busy crocheting however I keep forgetting to post and share on my blog…This cute little purse was done for my DD #2 who lives back east for her birthday in July…I also wanted to add a few extra items for her bag so I whipped up a little change purse as well as a Pen Monster holder to go along with it.. But I couldn’t leave out her son so I also made him a Monster Holder as well as school would be starting soon and it would be perfect….

Simple Adult Crop Top

Published August 13, 2017 by Jayashiangel

So since I did some child style halter tops it was only fair I try my hand at a few adult ones as well…I found this simple crop top halter style top and gave it a whirl..I however found that the person I planned to give it to doesn’t like to show that much skin so I decided to add some V-stitch to the bottom rows to make it way longer as the top just barley covered her top section….The pink on I did first and then added the V-stitch and the turquoise one I just added extra row to the middle for length and did less V-stitch..I think I prefer the pink style…

Stainless Style Water Bottle Sling

Published June 25, 2017 by Jayashiangel

AT Walmart for $10 I picked up Ozark water bottle that holds 36 oz for a really good deal. It keeps things very cold love that since Phoenix can get up to 120 *F However I am shipping it to my fiance who is in Missouri where it tends to get very hot and humid… But was trying to figure out the best way to carry it various place was more worried that the top would get overly stressed sling it by that so I made a carrier for his using this great pattern.. but keep the strap shorter as he plans to clip it to his belt loop (what is it with him and his clips?) P.S. I have a Ozark coffee style cup that is 32 oz that I use for work the ice will last from 3 am until 3 pm when it’s 110-120*F but it’s still very cold but in the winter it will last a complete 24 hours….

I took this hook monster holder case pattern and modified it to create a gag gift for my fiance’s cell phone as he just got his first smart phone a couple weeks ago however he asked me to making his a quick carrier that would clip on his belt loop when he is out and about. Well I got carried away as you can see and made this cute little monster as a joke but the best part was he really liked it and uses it…

Car Trash Bag

Published June 25, 2017 by Jayashiangel

I used a previous pattern I modified the first time to create bag for my company van that I post before however this time I used the pattern concept to make a trash bag for my car I wanted it rounded and only one strap and this pattern worked up great opted for DC VS V-Stitch to keep things from escaping out the sides..

This bag works great :O) I am very happy with this new trash bag I am thinking about making a few as gifts for Xmas in colors family members will like…
