Created the pattern and crocheted up this for my niece’s new Barbie doll she got for her birthday….
2 different colors scrap yarn
Scissors & Needle & 2 Stitch markers
Measurements: 4 inches wide and 10 inches tall
First will start out doing rows, then switches to rounds.
Row 1: Chained 18, or just under 4 inches
Row 2: Single crochet in second chain from hook, 1 single crochet in each stitch across, 3 single crochet in last stitch. DO NOT turn your work
Switching to Rounds
Round 1: Working in the round or the opposite side of the chain. (Working around the corner and into the bottom side of the starting chain row) 1 single crochet in each stitch across and 3 single crochet in last stitch.
Round 4-27: Crochet 1 single crochet in each stitch around. Until desired height (mine measures 6 inches tall) Stop crocheting on the side (end).
Switching to back to Rows
Row 3: Finding the side of your work place a marker just to the stitch next to the side and then another in the one on the opposite side missing a stitch between the two stitch markers. Single crochet into each stitch around from XOX (the X is the 1st stitch marker the O is the missed stitch and the next X the 2nd stitch marker) the O should be in the middle or center of the side where seam would look to be.
Row 4: Turn work and work back repeating rows until it measures 3.5 inches tall. Tie off
Finishing edging. Then using the 2nd color you will start where the O is and work a single crochet stitch all the way around then join and finish off.
Weave in all ends.
Just whipped up these simple banana muffins that I found HERE for my DD the only changed was I used apple sauce in place of butter..
Cherry muffins I found the Here to use some fresh cherries that where not up to just nibbling standards they were pretty bland so they became muffins..Lactose Changes I made were soy milk & yogurt butter.
I live in the great big dusty desert of Arizona. Surrounded by buildings and noise…Everyone says Arizona is great I keep wait to see great…It’s only great if you enjoy being out in the sun 115*F and if you like pools/lakes or sports/lots of sun and people. That is not me. I am more of a homebody…connected to the Internet/TV /Nook-and most of all my crochet hooks.
I crochet a lot would be an understatement…I donate my free time crocheting for Hospice of the Valley making shawls & blankets. Last year I donated 50 shawls and a few blankets. I also make various things for both friends and family or just for something to do.
I have decided that I will be using this new blog which will be a mixture of my various interests and just for plain old babbling…so bare with me while I work through learning how this WordPress blogging works. So let’s get this blog started w/ some pictures as well…
